ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
Supporting Youth to develop the knowledge, skills and partners they need to succeed in Employment and Entrepreneurship.Responding to the plights that youth are facing in unemployment, underemployment, lack of skills for employment and entrepreneurship to be self reliant . This project addresses two main gaps associated with youth and their livelihoods: readiness and access to gainful economic livelihood through adopting various models.We strive to ensure that all young people, including the most marginalized and disadvantaged, can unlock their potential through access to decent work leading towards sustainable and inclusive development.
1.Youth Employability & Life Skills
We train the Youth on Employability skills and life skills and we GURANTEE Internship and Attachment to gain workplace experience and employment opportunities .Eligible youth: 15-29 years.
In class Training Inclass training, NO examinations but our internal evaluation and impact assessment tools. The training entails: Experiential training focusing on Self Awareness, Personality type, Self esteem, decision-making, communication, interviewing and CV writing skills, leadership and interpersonal skills, personal management & coping skills, financial management & first-aid, work ethics etc.
Practical sessions through mock interviews and presentations trainees to the management leaders and Human Resource managers.
Community service the cohorts decides on their outreach, hospitals , education centers etc The aim for this is to provide the trainees with the opportunity to become active members of the community and further provide a lasting impact. It enables the trainees to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a service to those who need it most.
Team Building: The cohort trainees are always taken out for a weekend of fun -team-building. We also do night camp (safe spaces) for sharing and mentorship. The main aim of this activity is to improve productivity and motivation it further helps groups break down barriers, eliminate distractions, and have fun.
Graduation and certificate presentation: The trainees undergo official graduation ceremony as a public statement and ownership to the program. It is also our accountability tool for our program trainees.
Guaranteed Workplace Placement (Internship/Attachment): placed in the company of their career fields or interest to gain work experience.Following training, the trainees proceed to attachment and internship. YASA seeks internship and attachments opportunities with various employers. YASA matches employers' requirements with interns' qualifications, skills, field of study and interests.
Mentorship: Every Friday we have guest speakers who equips our trainees on various skills through our mentorship sessions. The session starts as from 2.00pm-4.00pm every Friday at Posta City Square in Nairobi County.
2.Youth Entrepreneurship & Innovation
We empower Youth to succeed in self-employment through building successful enterprises; we train for skills, mentor and expose them to partners and markets.As the Youth become entrepreneurs, we have witnessed their power to create new jobs and help shape local economies. Our entrepreneurship initiatives give young men and women the foundational knowledge, training, and resources to start, lead, and grow small and micro enterprises.

Learn the essentials of photography and develop your skills to become GREAT PHOTOGRAPHER!!!
YASA provide students with a personalized, immersive learning experience, inspiring the next generation of photojournalists. We train the Youth (12 yrs-15yrs - 18yrs / 19yrs -25 yrs-34yrs ) Journey into photography from basic : Parts of a camera, how to take quality photos with our phones, editing to professional photography. The aim is to create more opportunities for revenue and self–employment as well as share their story through the lenses.
Are you a Beginner, casual, or Instagram photographer? Is this your first time with an SLR or mirroless digital camera? No problem. This course will guide you through the digital photography basics you need to know to start taking better pictures now. This photography course is designed for even the most brand-new beginner. No previous training or experience is required.

Today’s online youth live in a world filled with self-authored, customized, and on-demand content, much of which is easily replicated, manipulated, and redistributable.
YASA provides a seven (7) weeks training on opportunities in the internet. They learn digital publishing technologies, the tools to create, remix, and share content on a scale that had previously only been accessible to the professional gatekeepers of broadcast, print, and recorded media outlets. The aim is to create more opportunities for revenue and self –employment.
